The “Pendolino Bar” is a railway station pub on platform 1 in Maribor, Slovenia. This Bar is not only famous for its location and possibility to watch trains while having a drink, it also is the caterer of Slovenske železnice’s (SŽ) only dining car in use with long-distance Eurocity train “Emona” operating between Ljubljana, Slovenia and Vienna, Austria.
Its owner Rade Popović became famous with the books and articles by Jaroslav Rudiš, a Czech writer, journalist and musician famous for his (Central European) railway love.
